Beware Of The Evil Eye

“Are they a friend of your brokenness or a friend of your breakthrough? Some people are supporters as long as you stay broken”

Raine Howard

Think twice before sharing ALL of your good news on social media!

You’re happy, ecstatic even. You just got a new job, a promotion, recently engaged, found out you’re expecting, found love, had a windfall of money, your business is growing, you lost 50lbs, your spouse adores you, and your children are excelling. You want to share this good news, testify, hell, you may even want to brag a little. And while there are those who will celebrate with you and are genuinely happy for you, there are those who are not. There are those who will see your posts and give you “ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴠɪʟ ᴇʏᴇ”.

The “ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴠɪʟ ᴇʏᴇ” is a type of energy that subconsciously or consciously begins in the thoughts of someone who is jealous, envious or covetous of you. Its important to note its not always malevolent either. But it is still serious. This “energy” can cause you harm; anything from slight inconveniences to more serious issues affecting one’s health, businesses, or family. From a historical spiritual perspective, the evil eye is a look, glare or stare directed at someone that is believed to bring bad luck or bad juju to someone.

I’ve seen it many times. People “flooding” timelines with good news and then you see posts within a few days about illnesses or other misfortunes. People course through massive highs and then massive lows in life and wonder why…You never know who views your page or your posts and the thoughts they think and the energy they direct toward you.

I am very cognizant of what I share, but, I’m also not going to be fearful when I want to share. So, I protect myself from ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴠɪʟ ᴇʏᴇ. Just know that while you’re happy and you have every right to be, not everyone can share in your happiness. Your happiness may highlight their sadness and lack. And they may knowingly or unknowingly send you that evil eye energy. That jealous, envious, hateful, covetous energy.

Thibaut Meuriss, author of the book, “Upgrade Yourself”, explains the “evil eye” in a very practical, non supernatural way:

“As you choose to follow your passion, you’ll start scaring the shit out of many people who, subconsciously, don’t want you to succeed. Your success would make them question the choices they make, such as staying at an unfulfilling job or giving up on their dreams. If you fail, it will validate their decision to avoid risk and play it safe. It is for this reason that they have a vested interest in seeing you fail. It’s nothing personal’ it’s just how the human mind works”

It is very important to steward your energy, protect yourself and your family and use intuition to avoid oversharing. Never apologize or feel guilty for your favor or hard earned blessings. But watch your back as well. As the Ojays sang,

“(They smilin’ in your face)
All the time, they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)

Beware of the “Evil Eye”

Blessings,

Kathleen Nicole

  1. This is Wisdom‼️I can certainly relate and have been intentional in this area. My life is not an open book and does require some privacy ❤️ I know first hand how people close to you happily view your successes as long as they are succeeding in their own lives. Dare not do better than them. Envy has a way of showing fake love and loyalty.

  2. This was a very strong article and it’s so accurate that’s why I actually don’t share as much as I used to because I notice this trend happening when you do share happiness. I’ve also noticed that when you don’t share anything positive it’s almost you get more likes than anything else. But Full positive energy being shared is almost like bug spray to certain people it affects their soul.
